Magician shows a piece of
rope. While he explains about a sailor's ghost in the room he proceeds to toss one end of
the rope into the air while holding the other. Suddenly, a knot appears in the rope
-- tied by the sailor's ghost. The
secret is that the knot was in the rope all along. Tie a knot in one end of a
two or three-foot section of rope.
Hold this knot in your left hand, hiding it under your
second, third and little fingers.
Take the other end between your thumb and index finger
and toss this end into the air two or three times.
Finally, instead of tossing this end, toss the knotted
end. The knot will seem to magically appear. |
