Pretend to pull a hair from your head and tie it around a corner of the handkerchief. Pull about six inches of the handkerchief taught in a vertical position. Pantomime pulling the handkerchief back and forth by means of the imaginary hair, controlling the movement with your thumb. A fairly stiff handkerchief works best.
